Done in August 2004, right before i started my classes in TOA.
Acrylic on canvas... also hanging in my room.
the actual painting has a more orange, golden colour tone to it instead of magenta. mixed osme metalic colour like gold in it, lion hair suppose to be shinny. personallly i like the boy's arm and hand alot. ya, i suppose the lion and the boy turn out in very different style... the lion's more carefree brushstroke, the boy is more smooth mixing of the colour.
interprete the meaning as you will. i'd like to hear what story do you think the painting is telling you.

well . . . first thing I thought of was Aslan and Edmond in the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe (don't blame the movie on that one: I've reread Narnia books way too many times for that). . . or maybe Androcles and the lion. Both of which I guess are kind of obvious. ^.^ Lovely painting.
